I’m finding this site very awkward to use

The best way to learn is to follow other threads. See how others react and interact. Your main issue is you haven't made a lot of friends yet and feel like you are talking to strangers. Everyone goes through that. It takes time to build a rapport with others and find like-minded members. Being a gentleman still counts here. Every woman on this site is very leery of new account men wanting to PM with them. You need skins on the wall via your interactions on open threads.

The worst thing that can happen is some a$$ will block you which will save you some time!

I found that strange at first too because a former site I was on had forums and a separate chat room. The chat room eventually died from lack of people visiting.

The forums are cooler because you don’t have to be on at the same as people and still get a chuckle .

Just interact and you’ll find people to get along with and who get your weird humor.

If you don’t want to get along with people, then just post political stuff.

It is kind of a cluster here. Definitely not formatted like most forums.

The old version of this place was called Experience Project. I was there a time or two but the seeming disorganization scared me off.
