Is anyone else surprised by how many older people are on this website?

I'm curious, if you're older, what makes SW more enticing than other social media websites like twitter, reddit etc.

The variety of different types of people
and the membership (larger than AnswerMug).
I used to like Quora, but the program funnels one into ever more restrictive questions. I tried various strategies, but it always dropped to a narrower band of topics. I got bored and left.
