@anythingoes477 in our non farming way of means, that is atroushishing, of the law. However in your statement no age requirement was stated, that is generally 16 +. Not 10 or 12, as im pointing out.

@checkoutanytime 27 states in the U.S. do not have stated minimum ages for marriage for a girl. With no minimum age written into law.........10 or 12..or 14 becomes a moot point.

@anythingoes477 even in Alabama legal marriage requires the female to be atleast 16 years of age. I can not believe a marriage license in any of the 50 states would be granted to a female younger than 16, or to a man over 30 seeking a younger bride. The federal law dictates no person is an adult until 18, but i do know state laws consent to marriage at 16, that does not mean the bride is an adult, by launuage...
