To me "drama" is needlessly overreacting to things you see and hear, whereas emotions are deeper and can be difficult to navigate. Maybe one doesn't ever really let go entirely, but over time the emotions settle in and aren't felt as deeply. Time is important in all matters of the heart.

Certain societies or groups seem make drama gaudy and desirable. At the other end of the spectrum other groups are more practical and down to Earth. It’s a culture thing.

@Morvoren Interesting response. I can suppose those things well.... it would generally be considered gaudy here, but seems to exist just the same, and I've had partners from other cultures where drama is the spice of life.

@SW-User Where I come from drama queens are avoided. There are enough actual challenges in life with inventing new ones.
SW-User
@Morvoren Understood, I find life enough on its own. Outside of culture, which certainly influences, some seem drawn to it more than others. It might even take a certain kind of balance to stay away

It happens to everyone honestly especially in moments of great frustration but the key is learning to control oneself.

I try to vent out my emotions here, but sometimes it’s still not enough and doesn’t help

@NewBeginnings7790 It's better with those you know. They will give you more space, hopefully, and they know those stories we all have.

I refuse to be emotional and lose my sense of self and purpose in spite of it all. I'm about logic. And being responsible.
Maturity matters. Common sense does too.. Look for solutions rather than problems. Enjoy your life.

@Zonuss Are emotions rising in you? Back off? For what?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User No they aren't rising up in me.
SW-User
@Zonuss well back off is usually considered an emotional phrase, am I having to catch u up on these things?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
No.
SW-User
@Zonuss Well, I gave options, along with an open ended question.. which is it?
Lilnonames · F
People make unneeded drama to make themselves feel better
