That's why you don't use CCleaner. You can easily clean up manually in a few minutes, so there is no need for that program and it is known to break things while doing it for you.

@NerdyPotato I made a mistake, so looking to correct it

Likely overwritten multiple times by now. Almost as good as government grade document scrubber.
All programs have cashes, which take up the first open space. Since some actually do clear their own cashe, the first free area gets overwritten multiple times.

@darkknightt that won't help recovering any files. Actually make it worse since the whole file allocation table will be overwritten.
As to, can you do it. That depends on your device. Not even all androids are the same, nor have the same OS versions which there are many.
My own can not set it on a particular date as far as I know. Only once have I ever had a needed to do a factory reset. And that was five phones ago.

@darkknightt if you're worried about someone accessing your photos, get a good document shredder that will both shred documents as well as freespace.
One I have is called shredit on Google play store.
It may or may not be available on your device since Google limits such apps. There are others that do both documents and freespace. Yet don't set the overwrite more than three itterances. Seven might lock you up and you will have to do a factory reset on the low level.

@DeWayfarer I am not worried about data being accessed, I had some important data that was lost.
Right now, I have uninstall what's app and then did the reinstall and trying to cover the data on what's app by backup

If you have 'trash' set up on your photos, it is possible they are simply in the 'trashcan' and can be restored to your camera folder. Or, does your android have a SIM card? If so, might be there. Good luck.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@NerdyPotato Oops. I misspoke. Meant SD card, not SIM card. My phone has one, but not many do anymore. Thanks.
darkknightt · M
@LadyBrontethey are not in recycle bin either. And I don't have sd card as well

@darkknightt I'm sorry. That's the extent of my thoughts on photo retrieval. Others who are more tech savy might be able to help you.

Then, right click on “Command Prompt” and click “Run as administrator”
After this, you should see a Command Prompt window with “Administrator: Command Prompt” across the top:
THEN TYPE :- delete *.*
Press enter

@SW-User Windows key + R on Android? 🤣 Also, tricking people into deleting all their files isn't funny...
