Chiefs at Grandma's house

We're all here watching the last football game of the year. They have played many pointless games in Jan but this is the first time where it just means the end of the season. No playoffs

We're having buffalo wings, Mac and cheese, baked beans fruit salad and s'mores.

My daughter and I won't eat the wings but there is lots of other choices so we're good

Ready for baseball season now

since i don't have regular cable tv anymore i've lost touch with the nfl unless it's on the tv's at my pub...kinda shocking the chiefs will miss the post season. hope you do better next year. i hope my hockey team tanks the rest of the season so we get high draft picks...currently 2nd last place in the league 🤣.... baseball spring training starts feb 20 ⚾
@beermeplease You should get a roku, I love mine, even with my $80 a month internet bill, it's still a lot cheaper than basic cable, which is $145 a month for only 30 channels.

@beermeplease yeah it was a shocking season for sure. We've been spoiled for years now. Hopefully we be next season. We're very excited for baseball to start. I think the Royals might be a surprise team. We've got some good kids on our team!!
@NativePortlander1970 we're on roku....i don't know what we're paying but i know it's cheap...but i do miss channels like fox and cbs which show certain sports. we would have to pay extra for tsn (canadian version of espn) but we have sportsnet which covers our hockey but not football
@Cigarguy never give up on your team....look what the blue jays did last season and they were so close to winning it all

@beermeplease I never have. I've seen some really bad football and baseball in my life but I stick with my teams not matter what
@Cigarguy me too....can't wait for soccer season to start next month too. and we were so close to winning it all too....we will still have a good team this season
@beermeplease Right now I have Amazon prime video as my rotating secondary premium, youtube will always be my only permanent premium as I watch it the most. I usually rotate secondary premiums depending which has the best movies for the month, however I have prime for the second season of the Fallout series based on the popular video game.

@beermeplease we're not big on soccer. Roy Kent is my favorite player lol. But I've kinda been instructed in watching and learning more about it. Got any suggestions for me.
Women's soccer kinda interest my daughter so I kinda want to learn more about it too but I'm clueless here too
@Cigarguy just give it a shot. you have a mls team in your city. unfortunately most games can only be seen on apple tv which most people don't have and even if you do only season ticket holders get a free subscription to mls games on apple. tickets to games aren't that expensive and you can take your partner and kids to a game that won't punish your bank account....plus your city will host some fifa world cup games this summer as will mine....but good luck getting tickets for that.....i love going to whitecaps games here

@beermeplease we have a apple subscription. I have always heard that soccer teams in the states are looked down on and women's soccer is even worse.
@Cigarguy not true...many soccer cities in the states support it like seattle and portland. weird thing is my brother and friends were in florida last month to watch the championship game where miami beat our team and after the game the streets seemed like a morgue....had the game been here and we won the streets would have been nuts

@beermeplease this is why I'm clueless lol I know nothing
