My American Heart aches

I don’t even know how to say how blind and saddened I am by people who have trouble admitting that they are racist.

I can usually write a post about it, but not tonight.

If you are at all open to understanding all Americans , regardless of color, I hope you watch Netflix. It’s a great show about football. And an even better show about the human spirit. It’s a medium pace… not too fast not too slow…but based on a true story. Family and social dynamics.

All American, on Netflix

America.. so racist thousands of minorities are crossing the border daily to be oppressed

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Don't conflate the 2 things. Some people cross the border ignorant of racism, they're not exactly into American politics. Some people would cross the border anyway because they've never experienced the racism and the desire to feed their family is stronger than anything else.

I'm not arguing for either point but your response doesn't make sense because even if this were Nazi Germany some people would cross the border anyway if making money was involved believing they because they aren't Jews they would be fine. And we are no where close to that level of racisim but to insinuate that the US was not built up on the backs of extremely racist ideology which continues to stain our nation is factually false.

@REMsleep thank you

That is totally false and an insult to America and its people. You are both ignorant and a disgrace. Shame on you.

@DffrntDrmmr Every single historian agrees that the USA was built on racist ideology.
US slavery built this nation. The slaves were legally as chattel.
The displacement and murder of the Native Americans during multiple instances provided choice lands and many benefits for our growing nation to realize manifest destiny.
Are these not racist actions fully sanctioned and encouraged by the USA during those times?
The legacy continued during Jim Crow era with most blacks being unable to vote due to racial violence and intimidation and laws put in place to uphold voter supression.

I'm sure that you have heard of those things and all of them had a big hand in the direction of our nation and all was sanctioned by law of the day.
@REMsleep Nothing you say here is true. Nothing. They are ridiculous statements. America certainly was not built on racist ideology; "every single historian" does not agree with such nonsense; and US slavery did not build this nation. That's just from your first sentence. Your perception of history is wildly distorted and your accusations against America's great people is full of hate.

@REMsleep it factual, but we have turned it around a lot so if drummer is younger that 18, he may not be aware if he didn’t pay attention in history class. But we are mostly talking about the south. Not all of of US
@Mindful At least you realize his condemnation of Americans was wrong. You are right that there were only regions where some resistance to changes existed, and then only for a time. It should also be understood that they resisted because they were forced, sometimes by non-local people from elsewhere, which naturally created some animosity.

Would you prefer to win the lottery without paying taxes ?
Or to work your way at Texas lotto and have to pay taxes? @DffrntDrmmr

Your answer is what human nature is.
@Mindful I don't get the Texas question or it's point.
