My first Men World Cup. The score does not reflect how lopsided the game was in favor of Spain. I thought he was refusing to leave but was kind of forced out. Argentina played very dirty. Congrats to Spain.

@Northwest For some time Spain has had the most technical midfield in the world. Nobody comes close in terms of being able to control possession.
Their flaw (and this is why they didn't win 3-0) is the relative lack of forward options. They haven't produced a top striker since David Villa. In Yamine Lamal and Nico Williams, they have two quality wingers but both have struggled with injuries and Spain don't have direct replacements.
Yamal is the best player of his generation and at least as good as Messi was at the same age. The problem is that Barcelona and Spain are already dependent on him and play him too many games. Sadly, this could well damage his development.
For sure, Spain will remain at the very top of world football. Along with France, they have the strongest player pool. Though they might not dominate, for the reasons given. My opinion, anyway.
