Best team at the tournament by a mile would've felt wrong if they didn't win. The unfortunate thing for England is it sounds like Southgate will get to choose if he stays or goes. It's his time to go nothing wrong with saying thanks but we need
to move on to someone who has more than one idea.

Yeah can't complain really and it wasn't as bad this year as the last final as I knew we'd really need to do something extra special to beat Spain and we'd not played that well all tournament so it is what it is, and well done to Spain they'd beat pretty much every team worth beating to get there and worthy winners in the end

@deadgerbil We had a dysfunctional attack. It's been the same all tournament, aside from 45 minutes against the Netherlands. When Spain was on top, we couldn't counter them, which invited more pressure. England needed a long range shot to equalise and our best other chance was from a corner.
The defense played well in the first half but the quality of Spanish possession meant that the pressure was always going to tell and it did.
Spain had more control of the game and more chances. We made a game of it through sheer grit but ultimately we can't have complaints.
