Predictions for today's matches in the Euros
England/Slovakia will probably be a horrible game but I think England will win narrowly. I'm thinking 1-0 with a Kane penalty or a Slovakian own goal being the difference. After which, Southgate and the players will give it back to the 'haters' by saying they believe in the process and that nobody else gets the master-plan.
If the master-plan involves playing as badly as conceivable and scrapping by against mediocre teams then congrats for that. This is the most talented England squad in (my) living memory so it's not surprising people are disappointed. We are extremely lucky that this absurdly generous half of the draw gives us an outside shot of 'sufferballing' our way deep into the contest. We could still win the damn thing but need to improve drastically on multiple levels.
Spain vrs Georgia will be a better game for the neutral. The Georgians are a fun team and an entertaining underdog. However, I do think Spain look pretty good and will just have too much for them.
