Pochettino booted out by Chelsea.

For not turned Ng water into wine and because he told incompetent bosses they have wrong strategy.

Yeah crazy like they couldn't win a game start of the season but by the end up they looked really good. Now they're just back to square one.

@AdaXI That is funny. Knowing Boehly, they might even do that!

They are linked with Keiran McKenna and (though the money would be a lot better than Ipswich) he really should avoid that manager's graveyard!
AdaXI · 41-45, T
@Burnley123 Yeah seems an odd choice for Chelsea considering he has no management experience at the highest levels.

Not knocking McKenna after what he's done at Ipswich mind you and I know Chelsea probably have to lower their expectations on who they can attract given they'll probably only be there a season...

So yeah ok I'm possibly answering my own question here the more I sit thinking about it. McKenna has the choice of probably being in a relegation battle with Ipswich all season or switching to Chelsea on the off chance of making a name for himself at the top level.

Although like you say Chelsea is a managers a graveyard so he's probably better staying where he is.

@AdaXI Well yeah, it would be tough for McKenna to turn down because if (very big if) he is able to make it work, then his career will be set for a long time.

However, Graham Potter thought the same thing and ..

They really should have stuck with Pochettino. Their amortisation means they have to selling their b at home grown players, no matter how needed they are. Honestly, Chelsea is pretty screwed for the next several years imo.

They may as well put a revolving door at Stamford Bridge.
Poch ended the season well, 6th spot looked beyond them a couple of months ago.

@Burnley123 sadly if you look back over the last few decades at chelsea even when successful how managers have come and gone especially more so in the ibramovich era .yes you are right what is going on with the owners hard too work out fair enough chelsea have not been much influence this season in the premier league as they have been in other seasons

Shameful.

They weren't prepared to get rid of the dross and neither are they prepared to shell out for better now.

If you think the Tottenham situ. is daft, watch what happens now with Chelsea.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Picklebobble2 Given the chaotic transfer policy, the youth of the team, the injuries and behind the scenes politics: he's done a credible job. 6th and a cup semi-final is a solid par. Maybe even a birdie.

Clearlalke Capital are worse at running a football club than the Glazers. That is really saying something!

Spurs will stay as one of the best two London teams for the foreseeable imo.

@Burnley123 Oh the feathers are set to fly as soon as this ridiculous tournament in Australia is done, for Spurs.

Chelsea ?....can't see it getting better.
At least in the short-term.

I think sacking Pochettino is a cash saving thing.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Picklebobble2 Him going will cost them money. Honestly, they are in a big hole
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M

@jshm2 Sigh. They are still the owners. They decide footballing decisions and have got most of them right. See the Klopp appointment and the data driven transfer policy.

You are a contrarian who disagrees whenever possible and also whenever not possible.
They say he is welcome back so has he had another offer maybe that he wants to pursue? Man U maybe?

Chelsea's season was not quite so bad

@InOtterWords Man Utd have *better* American owners
