Start of the new English Premier league season

@Barny52 Is there anyone in particular you follow? My Dad is a Sunderland fan, so I kind of watch out for them - they've made a good start, a win & a draw is good when you've just been promoted.

@Chrisy3 Rotherham went up in 2nd place we are a yo-yo team been down 3 times and up 3 times in last 6 seasons we can’t match the money relegated teams from prem get, they get 40mil for coming down teams like Sunderland get 8 mil for promotion !!

@Barny52 It's cool that you follow a 'proper' football team - I know of Rotherham - there's a girl at my school whos from Rotherham and shes a big fan of them!!

Always said you should follow your local team not jump on bandwagon of team doing well at top ! It was a good season last year we played well first half of season then dropped off , think players had a fall out with our striker and wouldn’t pass to him , they got better after he was dropped ! @Chrisy3

@Barny52 It may be tough staying in the championship - there's some good teams in there, but if you can avoid relegation, maybe they can build from there and at least be an established championship team. Also, if the likes of Brighton can get to the prem & Wigan have been there too, you just never know, maybe Rotherham can make an appearance in the prem too - hopefully it wouldn't ruin them in the process!

@Chrisy3 yep prem is where all the money is, they get 40mil now when relegated but in the passed they didn’t and teams going down went bust like Blackpool and even Leeds, perhaps one day we will get up, been close a couple of times in the 45yrs I’ve been watching them, missed out on goal difference one year think it was palace went up now look where they are
