Impressive. Iran came into the game as the favorite. Iran's players were getting very aggressive toward the end. With 3 minutes remaining in extra time, the Iranian player, was trying to tackle the US player, by pulling his shirt.

I don't think they were that dirty. I've seen a lot worse. It was just too committed teams putting everything on the line. And also, playing close to the line, as always happens in a high-stakes game.

I think, the US team definitely deserves to go through based on the three games, especially the first-half performances. I'm expecting things to be close between you and the dutch.

@Burnley123 I did not think trying to stop the guy, by latching on to his shirt, from behind, was a clean play ;-) Shows how frustrated they got.

The US had a few close misses, and it could have been worse for Iran. Overall, we outplayed them, something I was not expecting. This would probably be the Iran players chance to ask for political asylum, if they don't relish facing what they will certainly face, when they head back home, defeated by the Great Satan.

I expect we will not fare as well agains the Dutch, but kudos for a team that's punching way above its weight. This is my first men's WC.
