I Need a Cigarette

I ain't smoked in over a year but been cutting back on drinking lately and that's made the cig cravings come back stronger, so I ended up buying two packs of KOOLs yesterday, I hope it just stays at the two and doesn't become anything more. At my weight my heart can't afford me becoming a serious smoker again.

If Jesus lives in your heart you can rebuke those cravings in his name and they will flee, but soon come back, but if you are persistent and do not give up, it will take about 3 weeks and then you will be free indeed, just what God desires for each of us

@ChubbyCheesecake I love you no matter who you are or what you do! We don't go to heaven because we do this or that but because Jesus loves us and died for all our sins no matter what we have done. You are no more a sinner than me or anyone else. We all need God! But I respect your position on the church! Love your name 🌷

@Carazaa Thanks hun, have a blessed day even if I don't believe in heaven!

@ChubbyCheesecake thanks, you too!
I surmise you've likely tried the habitual replacement method, which is usually the most effective overall.

I would go with an inhalant made with lavender, mint, and rosehip oil. It might not be nicotine, but it's not the nicotine that calms nerves, it's the action of inhaling deeply.

Oh, and don't use a lot of mint; it's easily overwhelming and can cause some serious coughing reactions.
@Montanaman Well, with those three simple ingredients, there's literally no risk, aside from too much of one of the three specifically, but that just comes with how strong it is in comparison to the other two.

As far as the reports are concerned, I've yet to see proof that validates or debunks their claims. Until then, I've nothing to say, other than at least the vapor doesn't produce second-hand anything...
(still don't blow that shit in my face-ya jerkwad)

@Amyrakunejo Nicotine does have anxiolytic properties though. We smoke largely because we crave nicotine, otherwise no one would smoke cigarettes, they taste awful

@bijouxbroussard True hun, but not possible in London. Air pollution is terrible! 🤷‍♀️
ChubbyCheesecake · 26-30, F
@bijouxbroussard I mean obviously you're both right? Vaping is better than smoking, but neither is better than either. Everyone knows that.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard True, but the fact is some people are dependent on nicotine. I have an anxiety disorder, nicotine helps. I used to smoke two packs a day and I assure you that was worse for my lungs than vaping.

Try eating carrots or some other vegetables when you feel the urge for a smoke. Or, join a gym
justanothername · 51-55, M
@ChubbyCheesecake they would work too but vegetables like carrots have more substance and variety
ChubbyCheesecake · 26-30, F
@justanothername I don't really eat plants. Thanks though.
@ChubbyCheesecake Carrots are roots, but that's one of the habitual replacement methods...

They are finding out that vaping is more dangerous than smoking, I urge you to not give up one vice for another, deal with it, now, and reap the benefits.

@Silverwings No they aren't, vaping is safer. It's better not to vape or smoke but the NHS stated vaping is 95% safer than cigarettes.

I use nicotine mini-lozenges. They have been the only cessation aid/replacement that has actually worked for me. They're also way cheaper than actual cigarettes.

I vaped for a while until I had some kind of respiratory infection and I couldn't even use that for about a week. Once it was over I just stuck with the mints.

Sure, I am still "using" nicotine, but I dropped from the 4mg to 2mg variety last year and will probably try to start going off them in 2020.

Put the smoke down, it will only harm you. Yeah, one, two, one hundred with cigarettes is fine. That amount of arsenic (displayed highlighted on a pack) won't harm you, as a smoker and a drinker, where I feel lucky in my last doctor's appointment to have a 'normal' reading on blood pressure, there is incentive.

@Silverwings 😔ah, ya gotta give a man one last night with his seductress.

Don't give in to the seduction.
I'm quitting tomorrow morning when I get off work at 6am. Done! hasta la vista baby!

@Montanaman No better time than right now!!
