I have hard time understanding how people recent generations can smoke despite the enormous body of evidence that it is horrible for your health. [I Do Not Smoke]

Sadly, it's call an addiction and there's a good reason for that, they are addicted to nicotine.

I know, it's honestly disgusting. 😷
And it kills me when people who smoke douse themselves in perfume/cologne in an attempt to hide or lessen the smoke smell. IT JUST MAKES IT WORSE.

@DearAmbellina2113 it also hurts us more than them if they use a filter.

They still have same nicotinic receptors that get stimulated as people did 100years ago .
Obesity is bad for your health but that doesn’t stop Americans either.

Well I mean... I started early before knowing about the dangers........... Just thought it was cool and by the time I learned of the dangers I was already addicted and too weak to stop... Oops.. No hate.. ┴┬┴┤•ᴥ •ʔ/

@bearinthehalfwayhouse I was 12 when I started and 52 when i quit and well knew the dangers but like you, I was addicted too. There is hope, if i could quit after 40 ears, you can too!
bearinthehalfwayhouse · 26-30, M
@spjennifer Yeah, my mom stopped after 40 years too actually.. Although, it was because of a shock in the family.... I think the only way I could give it up is if I got the same sort of shock BUT I'MA RAMBLING SO EY!! CONGRATS FOR YOU, MY GOOD PERSON!!! BUT BEAAAAAAAR IS TOO WEAK TO THE FLESH!! .... Or... Nicotine I guess but, Y'ALL GET WHAT I'M SAYING!! ┴┬┴┤•ᴥ•ʔ/🥃

@bearinthehalfwayhouse thank you and I definitely do know where you're coming from, I've been there. Don't give up hope, you can quit too but you have to want to, it sure wasn't easy for me and I'm certainly no example but you can do it if you try!

Despite how hard it is to believe, I know why it happens. It's a replacement for love, a diet drug, family culture of acceptance or rebellion. If it wasn't for the smell I would probably use it to cope with body shaming.
They have no excuse...there were no billboards etc glorifying it in their time
Ciggs dont judge me..
