For a young woman to smoke Marijuana or drink alcohol excessively is a very stupid decision.

Marijuana is the gateway drug and not only that, people are lacing that shit all the time. You don't have any friends when it comes to that lifestyle. Don't be stupid. Just say no to drugs and find better friends.

The gateway drug theory is bullshit and has very little ground to stand on.

To single out young women cause you think they'll be sexually abused is nonsense too.
Rapists spike drinks with knockout drugs and nasty things at parties can happen when guys are pieces of shit.
What you are doing is a kind of victim blaming.

I'll keep drinking and enjoying my weed
@Gloomy The chart below clearly demonstrates The vast majority of hard substance users did not start by using those hard substances. Alcohol and Marijuana are both the top gateway drugs. I've never known any cocaine addicts who didn't smoke Marijuana or drink excessively prior to using coke. Chart agrees, Marijuana has a predisposition effect.

Gloomy · F
@RocktheHouse 😂 your interpretation of this stat is way off.

The people surveyed need to be addicts in the first place and there is a predisposition for addiction and logically people will start consuming legal and easily accessible drugs.
Gloomy · F
@RocktheHouse Not even the American Addiction center fully agrees with this theory
Conclusions
There is evidence that using some substances early in development does result in a greater probability that an individual will abuse other substances; however, the reason for this is not well understood. This condition may represent some combination of inherent factors (e.g., genetic) and the interaction of environmental factors (e.g., peers, learning, stress, etc.).

The relationship between early alcohol use and later use of other drugs has the strongest evidence to suggest that it may be a gateway drug; however, the gateway theory suffers from a number of potential methodological flaws. At the current time, it is unable to specify a causal relationship between early use of any drug and the potential to use or abuse other drugs later. Instead, these relationships may be more consistent with the common liability model
And the article which you took your source from is way more nuanced as well.

Why a young women? Not a young person?
@HeidiA Young women are prey... that is just the reality of it. Yes, young men have to be careful too. However, drug dealers, traffickers and rapists go after young women.
@RocktheHouse like Donald Trump.

adults only should use any alterants / Drugs
i really think kids should not do either
of the two you mentioned? alcohol is far more damaging and kids can get it way too easily
no one has EVER OD'd on cannabis

if you live in a "free state" the dispensaries there are clean, not additives
no one laces a legitimate agricultural Crop
if you live in a "closed state", then you are dealing with the black market
Just like in the Prohibition era

the gate way drug is Sugar eat this,, get a buzz run around madly

I started smoking weed at 15 while attending one of the top high schools in the US, and I did it almost every day during my four years at one prestigious Ivy League university and two years earning a MBA at another.

Not only did I get good grades and have a successful career, but I had numerous friends who also smoked regularly and went on to be highly successful as partners in law firms, prominent college professors, and other careers.

For us, weed was a gateway to friendship and success, not addiction.

You should realize that a strong, positive person need not be defined by choice of recreational activities.

If you had a problem with drugs, I am sorry you did. And try not to be so judgmental. It is not a positive personal trait.

@RocktheHouse Where did I say that going to an Ivy League university makes anyone smart? You somehow read that into my post.

There are, however, lots of smart folks on those campuses.
@RedBaron Why are you promoting Marijuana to young girls? My business involves exposing degenerate scoundrels who use narcotics to take advantage of young women. And I'm going to keep on fighting and exposing them.

Who knows what terrble things happened to those women when they were under the influence. Most women are afraid to say anything; they're ashamed. A lot of those women are hurting on the inside.
RedBaron · M
@RocktheHouse I am not promoting anything. Just refuting your Reefer Madness propaganda.

For anyone to drink excessively is a bad decision. If marijuana is being systematically adulterated, that would be a good argument in favour of legalisation and regulation of supply.
@SunshineGirl That is true, it would be better to regulate the marijuana industry in the US. However, the public cannot get the wrong idea. Marijuana is not a safe drug. There's no safe way to consume Marijuana. Legalizing it should be followed by educating the public, which seems impossible in this age of disinformation.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@RocktheHouse I think exactly the same can be said of alcohol. But banning substances for which there is a demand is impossible and serves only to incentivise crime and endanger the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable. Regulation and education (funded by sales tax on the substance) are the least worst options.

You must have been a real wow at parties in your teens and early 20s. 🤣

@RocktheHouse I don't know where you got your research about cannabis from but it is fundamentally flawed. I smoked my first joint soon after my 17th birthday - and I'll be 70 in 6 weeks time. Neither I, nor the vast majority of my friends, ever graduated to anything stronger. That's empirical enough data to satisfy me.
@ArtieKat When you were 17? It's a whole different world out there grandpa.
ArtieKat · M
@RocktheHouse Insult me all you like. It doesn't change the facts.
WonderGirl · 36-40
Marijuana is legal where I am. I don't smoke but I do drink.
@WonderGirl Marijuana is legal in your country but i bet you we have more potheads than you do.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Oh horse s**t.
I'm not a woman, but I smoke weed and I've never done anything harder and don't plan on it either. Gateway drug theory is nonsense.
