I Smoke Marijuana

Done...
A few nights ago I think I made the best decision I have ever made while stoned: I quit. I just was really not enjoying it at all...and not for the first time. This has been a growing feeling every time I toked for the last month or two.
To my former fellow tokers, smoke on! Next time you spark up, hit it once for me. I'm over it. :)

I first smoked weed when I was 14, when weed was cheap, weak and more or less plentiful in the 1970s. I smoked heavily between 18 - 22 in college. After college, I moved in with Buddhists, started meditating, and just stopped for awhile.

Fifteen years later, a friend gave me a bud. I smoked it slowly, making it last weeks.

I had no more weed until around 2002, when another friend sold me a bag. Since then, I've gone as long as 15 months without it, but I've smoked it when I've had it. Lately, though, as I've had some personal struggles in my life, and I think weed has been helpful. (See

The way I see it, it's no big deal if you smoke, or if you stop. That you have the sensitivity to give it up when you realize it's not helping you is to your credit. (Well done!)
