Because very often the side effects are worse than the disease. The fact is that pharmacy companies are only there to make money. they are not there to make effective medicine. They have coopted the doctors to think of every illness as a reason to medicate rather than treat. Funny but not funny story. My son has some sort of illness that there is medicine for. Among the symptoms of his illness is asthma. His doctor told him that they can treat the asthma but won't try to treat the disease because the medicine the pharmacy companies have come up with are too dangerous. IOW my son is better off sick than he is to take medicine to treat the disease.

I dont know which drugs you refer to but is it worth seeing what NICE in the UK make of them. GThey wont approve anything for the National Health that is either too expensive for us (which is most of the best stuff) or cost effective. Of course you never know if organisations like NIICE have been inflitrated or corrupted by bungs from big business like the terrible opiod cricis in the US

Because most of the time they are worse. If taking a pill for patchy skin could cause death wouldn't you rather have patchy skin 😂 sometimes it just isn't worth it!
