Does anyone out there use Kratom?

I have tried it, and it helps my energy level quite a bit.
itsok · 31-35, F
No. I used to date someone who used it. Trying to find other people who had used it and thought it was fine, I ended up finding someone documenting using it and the first several months were good and then their videos became about them trying to stop and not being able to. Getting sick when they tried, and going back on it several times. I’m not sure if they were eventually able to stop
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
Very addictive. Stay away.
Badjujubee · 46-50, F
@JustDJ76 You’re not being specific enough. Psychologically addictive maybe but physical dependency is not the same as addiction.
Badjujubee · 46-50, F
@JustDJ76 I am guessing that you are referring to the Kratom concentrates and supplements which are usually found in convenience stores and gas station markets.
I don’t think that it takes a genius to know this stuff is not exactly health food.

It looks like this has turned into an argument about illegal drugs. Portlander seems
to be very against ALL drugs, legal and illegal. And I see his point, I have seen what
happens to some people when they use drugs.

But on the other side of the coin, I would like to ask Portlander about HIS health.

Are you fit and healthy? Do you eat healthy and exercise every day?
Or do you consume mass quantities, and sit most of the day?

In one post you threatened Methdozer with physical violence, do you have
anger problems? That can be as bad as a drug addiction

I have done every illegal drug known to man over the last 50 years. I am
now 65, and I am healthier than most people of any age. I exercise
every day, and I eat healthy. I mostly lift weights and and use the elliptical.

I have Zero health problems at 65, and looking forward to another healthy 35 years.

But you know what? I have a couple beers everyday, after the gym, I also
take a puff of weed most days. And somehow I still run a successful
construction company. There are a lot of ways to ruin a life, and one
requires no drugs or alcohol, It's called over consumption, and lack
of physical exercise, which is worse? I don't know, it depends on the
person.

I have seen people kill themselves with food, and a sedentary life style.

But they did not use drugs, so they are good people, right?

@NativePortlander1970 Sorry to hear about your health problems. I attribute my health
to supplements. I have been taking vitamins, minerals( liquid colloidal) and others most
of my life. I learned a long time ago that the foods we eat, do not have the nutrients our
bodies require. Even the fruits and vegetables. A lot of people say it's a waste of money,
but from my research, everyone should supplement.

Researchers have found that many of the problems they thought were genetic, were
due to families with the same diets that were lacking the same nutrients, over a period
of years.

If you get a chance, check out "Dead Doctors don't lie" Years ago an agricultural
veterinarian named Joel Wallace found farm animals getting the same diseases
that we get. He did autopsies on them and found the cause was lack of essential
nutrients. Farmers now supplement their livestock, and the problems went away.

I’ve dabbled in it for opiate like analgesic properties.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Badjujubee I take extra magnesium and Zinc also, along with Lutien for my eyes.

My eyesight gets consistently better due to Lutien and Zinc.

@DogMan I use a heating pad basically every night but have been warned that it could increase inflammation.
akindheart · 61-69, F
i don't know what that stuff is. I have a horrible diet and my family dies young but overall, i am pretty darn healthy. I do take supplements and exercise
DogMan · 61-69, M
@akindheart That is probably why you are doing better than the rest of your family.

In fact, I'm sure of it. They have found that many things that they believed were genetic
problems, are actual caused by the same unhealthy diets that are missing essential
nutrients.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@DogMan my dad died at 47. pulmonary embolism because he fell thru a building. my mom died at 46 from double pneumonia and my paternal grandparents died at 48. so i was really sweating bullets as i passed 45. honestly, i passed all of my physicals. i am in great shape.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@akindheart That's great to hear. Keep up the good work. Have you tried liquid colloidal
minerals? it has all 77 minerals, and trace minerals. I don't take it everyday, but I like
knowing my body gets everything it needs. I also take a multi twice a day along with extra
potassium and Omega 3. I don't believe anyone gets enough potassium in their diet.

Even potassium pills only have about 2% of the daily requirement. I take 3 after each meal.

Here’s a recent (6 hours old) video with one media outlet’s interpretation of this situation.
I like to keep an open mind and consider the sources but I think that this could be useful for sake of discussion.

@Badjujubee Wow! that was a great video. I can't believe people consume so much
of it. It sounds like moderate amounts are safe, but with all the addictive personalities
people just keep using more and more. And now with the concentrated liquids, they
can take mass quantities. I'm the type that if I have to take more of something, it means
I have to take less.

Not into the opiate nod
MethDozer · M
@Badjujubee While not a an actual opiate, it triggers the opioid receptors and mechansisms.

I have most certainly watched friends on the nod from it. Eitherway, my point was it is a type of buzz that doesn't interest me at all.
Badjujubee · 46-50, F
@MethDozer I understand. It can be beneficial for people who have opioid/opiate addiction issues but it can also be trading one addiction for another.
Badjujubee · 46-50, F
@MethDozer well that worked out far better than expected. Lol
@NativePortlander1970 Seems to have tucked tail and blocked me. So bummed lol
Matching wits with him is like mentally shooting fish in a barrel. I mean I don’t understand the last-worders who just end up digging their own graves while simultaneously painting themselves into a corner?! And then they block as if that makes it look like they’re victorious lol 😝
Do not touch this poison, people have died of liver failure from it.

MethDozer · M
@NativePortlander1970 Okay that's fine you posted that but it doesn't support your previous claim.

What they are saying about ritilan and cocaine also applies to amphetamines and cocaine, ritilan and amphetamines.. etc etc. They are all stimulants. It doesn't mean that are the same
