Wow i made it to 5 months of being sober. Ahhh I am happy..

Getting sober/clean
Without any help from treatment centers,
Medication, meetings, therapy. And staying sober/clean through the hoildays amongst all the stress, triggers & temptations has been the most baddest thing I've ever done. So, i am officially walking into this new year with a clear mind and my good health. Even though Sobriety is a lonely road, but its a gift that I fken deserve.

Good to read this! I am over 25 years sober now. I did treatment, meetings and more, but found what really worked was having a higher purpose (I say this instead of higher power)--mine has been my children. They deserve and need a sober, caring, loving father. I know I would be dead by now if I were still indulging, and as time goes on it does get much easier. I have no desire at all to go back and ruin my life. Life is good sober and aware. Keep it up! I would be glad to talk anytime as well.

Good for you. I'm new to the sober life too. Everyone is telling me to be more vigilant in the days to come. Early January is the time of most relapse I'm told.

Well done. It is probably the hardest time to go sober. I admire you girl. At a time when everyone else says " I will start in January",,,, You lead the way.
