@markansas lol you know she was referring to illicit drugs.
@SW-User that depends on where and who you are mormans dont do soda or caffeine even.. in colo pot is legal in kansas it is not . so illicit drugs . are a maybe now . and some states allow mushrooms. in some countries even heavier drugs are allowed. so where and who you are does matter. she is fairly clean if coffee is all. and good for her and her health on that one. been fun chatting tho
@Lostpoet i was a morman anything with caffiene was not allowed at that time.. it was many years ago tho.. and to be honest i would miss my coffee in the morning. so let me google
and here was when the change happened.. good for them.
In 2012, the church released an official statement stating explicitly that caffeinated soda is allowed under church doctrine.

@markansas I left the church at 18 but I have no bad feelings about the church and a lot of my family are still active members. It's just I read and got on the Internet a lot and reading about the history of the church made it pretty simple to see that though they mean well the church doesn't hold any spiritual authority over any other organizations. I'm a culturally Mormon and BYU is my team, but I'm not spiritually tied to the church and never could bare a testimony saying that its teachings were true.
