Have you tried LSD?

What was it like?
I'm on a journey to open my mind with psychedelics 😊 tried mushrooms and salvia so far. Pretty incredible!

I think acid, like 'shrooms, are one of those things to do at least once if you approach it as a learning experience. I've only done it a few times, alone, and that's all I needed. My first time, when I was living in the Haight in San Francisco, I took two hits, walked down the street and started coming on. I was looking in a store window and my brain cracked open. Just standing there in bliss/wonder and two old hippies, right out of 60's central casting, came up to me and we're saying things like, "It's going to be amazing...have an incredible time...you're loved." They knew. Blew my mind. I hugged them and went off on incredible experience. They sent me on me on my way with what I needed. Pretty cool. I think it's all about the mindset going in.
@Ynotisay those hippies were likely on psychedelics too. Likely microdosing. There's a spiritual connection with others & when you have experience, you can literally feel what the other people in it are thinking & feeling. It's wild.
But I wouldn't say you only do it once. I'd say do it only when you're in a positive mindset & have questions you want answered. You can find yourself many times, not just once then that's it

@ChiefWalksWith40oz They might have been. They "knew." But this was a while ago before microdosing was a thing. So they were either high or recognized someone who's mind was exploding. :)
And I hear what you're saying about frequency. For me, I see that more with shrooms although it's been quite a while for me. I felt a diminishing return after a few times. It was more 'play." Nothing wrong with that but it just wasn't for me.
The one I can say you do just once is Iboga which is delivered as ibogaine. It's derived from a root in Africa that's used in "coming of age" ceremonies. I have a friend who's pretty prominent in that world where it's used as method of (literally) curing addiction. I wasn't addicted but she offered me the experience and I took it. Went to Mexico for it. Ten hours on my back, with my brain cracked open, watching a movie that played on a loop in my head. SO much more powerful than acid. I can still remember that loop. Things that didn't make sense at the time actually ended up coming true in some weird ways. A one-timer but I'm really glad I did. Haven't taken a hallucinogen since. No need. :)
expanding the mind is a good thing
Ooo fun. I've done shrooms quite a bit. Had times where I literally ate half an ounce at once.

But no I've still never tried acid. I wanted to even I was younger but I kinda grew outta that I think

no, I'm not against drugs, but I somehow know lsd would not be a good experience for me
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@DavidScott dont do it if you already have negative thoughts planted regarding it! That could be a nightmare

@markansas I left the church at 18 but I have no bad feelings about the church and a lot of my family are still active members. It's just I read and got on the Internet a lot and reading about the history of the church made it pretty simple to see that though they mean well the church doesn't hold any spiritual authority over any other organizations. I'm a culturally Mormon and BYU is my team, but I'm not spiritually tied to the church and never could bare a testimony saying that its teachings were true.
@Lostpoet i left in my mid twenty's and became a atheist . religion has cause alot of problems around the world and at least the lds seems to cause very few of them.. i do miss it tho.

@markansas It is full of good people

Only light doses. I was experimenting with microdosing a few years back and tried about a 1/4 of a tab one morning. I enjoyed it but my supply dried up. Now I have a friend who has found a supplier. She had wanted us to drop acid and watch fireworks together on the 4th of July but it didn't work out. Maybe one weekend before long.....
G00GLE · 22-25, M
Once while I was already stoned and drunk. It was like a fever dream pretty much. No brain just high.
@G00GLE 😵 oh dear that sounds overwhelming
G00GLE · 22-25, M
@MadamMartha sure sounds like it but in the moment it doesn't matter. I was there to see the band but instead I was lying in a corner just absorbing the vibe. It's not pretty to think about but the feeling in the moment is incredible.
But I don't think you're looking to melt your brain with endorphins so my experience is pretty useless lol

Never tried any drugs.

@WaryWitchWandering it seems normal to me but I guess you're right
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@SW-User it’s normal to you because you don’t know anything different. It’s a good thing that being sober is normal to you

Yes. Each time was a little different. I prefer LSD trips more than shrooms, my thoughts are introspective and insightful.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
Just weed, shrooms, and DMT
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@MadamMartha it’s different, and it’s very VERY quick. Lots of visuals, feels like you’re out of body and time… but somehow know your body is still there. Feels like layers are peeled back in front of your eyes and lots of moving fractals. It’s really indescribable. I loved it, but those days are past for a bit. I have children and don’t have time for it
@WaryWitchWandering so cool to hear about 😊 thanks for sharing
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@MadamMartha highly recommend! Especially because it’s such a quick yet powerful lil trip

Yes many times when in early 20's. My advice is to leave it alone.

no, i don't associate w those types either

never done drugs.... need to try some
Someone spiked a drink when I was a teenager (fruit punch) at school. It was one of the worst experiences of my life up to that point. I felt like I was losing my mind. It’s a hallucinogenic, so you see things that aren’t there, which is dangerous on a number of levels. Other kids got sick, so the school figured out what had happened. The moron who did it, thought it would be "funny". I’ve kept my distance from that sort of thing ever since, because I hate feeling out of control.
more acid less wars..

Yes, many years ago. I retained lessons from the experience. Microdosing seems to have significant potential for psychotherapy.
