Are these people living with you?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@JonUK41 they live rent free in my partner's home. His sister and her boyfriend.

@Cigarguy101 I think this is normal. Unless there is a weather/drought warning.
This to me is an essential part of life. It helps you build and maintain self esteem, hygiene, and time management.
Are these people with whom you live ? I was seeing something on YouTube from people who say they were raised bathing only once a week, they don’t use washcloths, etc. Very different from my upbringing. I guess people have different needs, but if they smell, whatever they’re doing isn’t sufficient. 🤔

@bijouxbroussard I find it very odd for a young woman especially to be like this. I'm desperately trying not to be judgemental but I told my partner it was a bad idea living like this. There are some things you really shouldn't know about others and this is one of them. I get it that it should be of concern to her boyfriend but as mentioned the smell that comes out of their room is awful. Simply because they spend so much time in there. I have had to consider whether this was about jealousy or something else.
We are different and like you said we were raised differently.

In truth people only need to shower every other to every third day unless seriously sweating; usually from working out. In much of the world (mostly Europe?, especially Germany) there is a noticable water shortage as a result shower time is limited. In germany ive seen speed shower competitions. Was a suprise on tv there while i was visiting in 2005ish.
You say they keep the door to their room shut yet you also say it smells. How would you know this? Sounds like someone is overstepping boundaries.

@Pinkstarburst well they have to come out at some point...
I found this old book called The Book of Life. It was from the turn of the century, the 19th, and the 1900s. That book said you had to bathe once a month and wash your hair once a month; there were all kinds of crazy things like that.

@WonderGirl I don't think I could live like that unless there was a water shortage

Honestly your hygiene habits are the bad one of all youve listed, do you know what soap does to your hair and skin, it strips your bodies natural oils and natual biodiversity away. You should not actually wash every day! Lol
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@WolfGirlwh0r3 I'll leave you to live your life with your natural oils and over growth of biodiversity.
Mine are doing perfectly fine.

Do they shower elsewhere, like a gym?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@DrWatson no they don't go to the gym
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Seems like there's an invasion of privacy going on somehow.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@FloorGenAdm yes... Something's you shouldn't know about others. Unfortunately they've been forced upon me. And given my maternity leave it means I'm available to see and witness everything. So the privacy I wanted was removed and now so id theirs. Still won't stop me noticing that 2 people don't wash. Whether it's my business or not
