Yes, I always had that when I went to the dentist. I felt like I was floating up out of the chair, looking down on myself. But I always remember when leaving. It felt like my lungs were crystal clean.

I've never had laughing gas only lidacane which is similar to novacaine when I had my wisdom teeth removed...it wasn't good.

I've never used nitrous oxide.
I've had root canal done on a few teeth (I have a couple of bridges).
The drug administered to me was lidocaine.

Only once when I injured my back and was in agony. The ambulance paramedic gave it to me. Temporarily it felt great and the pain stopped, but after a few seconds I had more.

It's euphoric and wears completely off a few minutes after they turn it off. You'll feel nothing during the procedure and dont have to deal with being fucked up all day like IV pain killerd
