Yes.It is a deliberate decision as men are terrified of divorce courts. The best way to never deal with a divorce, alimony, dividing of assets is to never get married.Femenisn can be a disaster for both women and relationships.

@tallpowerhouseblonde Said men would usually have to be making decent money before those things would be a concern. Unless it is California. Supposedly their divorce laws are the biggest horse crap ones in the nation.

@CestManan I agree with you completely. The no fault divorce laws like in California means a partner can do anything such as cheat then still come out ahead in a divorce.Canada is even worse.I believe that living together for three years gives an entitlement to half of the partner's assets.

@tallpowerhouseblonde I believe it's 6 months in Australia. I was shocked, in doing internet dating, how many people are gold diggers. I couldn't live with myself if I took someone else's money. I can't even let a guy buy me a beer.

@tallpowerhouseblonde with stuff like that, I wonder if the same thing applies if it's two men living together or two women because of that whole game marriage bit. Like how do common law marriage in gay marriage affect each other. I'm just guessing here but I would imagine if people had enough assets to even worry about losing in a marriage then they probably would choose to stay single or only date. It's usually poor people that make the mistake of getting married

@CestManan You have it right.I'm pretty sure the same rules apply to same sex marriages. The high earners are scared of having courts take away from them what they have worked for to give it to their ex partner that has not worked for it.It's a similar situation for child support.A guaranteed way not to pay it is don't have children. The birth rate has tumbled. For a country's government it's a big problem.Today's children are tomorrow's taxpayers and there will be less of them.

@tallpowerhouseblonde I'd like to go off on a tangent but it seems like birth rates go up and down. For example, right now we have the Baby Boomers Generation X millennials and generation z. Generation Alpha is still really young but the point is of the adult generations, x is the smallest. Yes, there are more Boomers than xers

@CestManan It's true that birth rate moves up and down but over time the rate is down. The rate of decline has been described as "jaw dropping." Reasons given as well as not wanting to pay child support include the rising costs of looking after children and more women that have jobs, giving priority to a career over having children.
