Sigh.... And meh.

So I've been single for six months now.

I'm not ready for a relationship yet.
However I crave some company, some hugs adult conversation.

This time of year makes it more difficult I think 🤷

@SW-User Yes I'm the same. I read somewhere that a girl who doesn't know what it is to have a father's love will struggle to know what real love is 🤷 possibly some truth in that!

@Purplerain78 I believe that to be true. The one man that is supposed to keep us safe, fails. And we will pay for that as long as we feel that emptiness.

@SW-User My dad went on to bully me for several years to. So felt unloved, unwanted and fat and ugly for years. I know I'm none of those things, but I still think I'm unlovable. It can make life hard sometimes.

I am very sorry you lived through that. I went through some of that myself. True love is about the little things. Kind words, gestures, spontaneous hugs and touches, little hidden notes. The lighting up of someone's face when you walk into a room. It's out there. We just need to be ready to receive it. 🤗

This is always the tough part of the Internet. We make friends, we share things and sometimes even fall in love, but its so separate :( We can't just reach out to a friend and hug them, hold them, tell them they are loved.
