Do you know anyone who was single when you were younger and they are still single?

Back in my student days A was one of my girlfriend's closest friends. After my girlfriend and I split up A and I remained in touch. She was in a relationship for several years with a friend of mine but unfortunately that seemed to mess her up. After that none of her relationships lasted for long. She also fell out with several girlfriends over the years. Now several decades later she is still single. We still keep in touch intermittently but it's a friendship based largely on longevity.
