I like most stuff at Ikea but FFS delivery on stuff is very expensive!

There's no local Ikea so either have to travel about 200 km or pay for delivery. Because where I live in an 'outlying area' delivery prices jack up another 25 pct.

To get a large furniture item like some display cabinets delivered (all flatpack being Ikea) cost for delivery is about $200. Eek. I guess I don't really need it if I baulk at the price. ;-)

Yep. Nearest Ikea is about 150 km away for me. Travel time to get there about 2 hrs (due to traffic). It doesn't have very good loading dock access for a big vehicle with a trailer. I'm used to the way the stores are laid out from going to an Ikea a fair bit when living interstate over 10 yrs ago. can't put a price on time of travel but fuel use would be minmal. Would need to allow a full half a day. And take a friend (don't have any) with me to help loading.

Jesus wasn't crucified, he was just trying to assemble a piece of IKEA furniture.

Consider your time and the cost of gas to drive 200KM round trip.
