@Tetsuya they were in my city in the 60's! they used to have toys on top of every freezer...

They didn't make it to the eastern part of Massachusetts, nor did I ever see them in far western Nebraska.

Don't think we had them in California. But I do remember the Owl Drug Stores.

Started 1920 but there is only one store left and it's in Green Bay Wisconsin
