Oh, I am sorry to disagree with you. It helps me to look at a person's old posts when trying to figure out if I want to be friends with them or not. It gives good clear picture of where they were as opposed to where they are now in their lives and thinking.

Probably only the ones that live or have lived inside tyrannical systems see the value in that. The concept is as old as the quill and inkwell.

On the chance that someone doesn't understand what I'm talking about, maybe they'd understand this:

Under the hidden history file section called the hell records:

Show me the person and I'll find you six lines written in their own words to convict them of a capital offense thought crime to justify their execution, your majesty, your eminence, my lord Cæsear, mine heir heil.

You know they won't do this. And you also now know what makes a company worth 20 sell for 45 to a billionaire.
I disagree. I look back fondly at conversations I had with friends who have gone…
@bijouxbroussard
I feel the same. That’s why I don’t want to delete my profile.
@bijouxbroussard me too....i have hundreds of old photographs stored in drawers. some mean something to me where others don't....but even with the ones that don't i just can't junk them

that is a treasure hunt waiting to happen!

ok everybody find the thread that has peanut butter and pickels in it

next find the thread that Wensday morning and drunk in it

ect ect with the person finding it having to post in it as proof they found it.
or at least just archive/inactivate them. or maybe let people know that they're adding a comment to a post thats n months old with the next most recent comment being n-10 minutes months old. it gets goofy

Think of it as a photo album with snapshots of your life.

I only delete if I constantly get poor reactions over a long period of time.

It's got to be a lot of negative reactions.

This seems like an excellent variation of the “nothing good happens after midnight” adage. 🍻
nothing bad happens on old posts...well, on mine anyway.
deadgerbil · 22-25
You might need to make better posts if they age that poorly
So you're saying you want all your posts to be freshly squeezed?
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
It's part of my diary so I never delete any of it.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
Why bother deleting them
jackson55 · M
Very few pay attention to them.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
But then how will somebody necro them two years after you've stopped coming to the site? 😏
