For anyone not happy with Target's immediate dismissal of DEI, and HAPPY with the stand Costco took:

I found an amazing deal. It is $65 for a gold membership, and once you pay the $65, StackSocial will send you a $20 electronic gift card to redeem within 30 days. This is for new members only, and it appears that if you sign up for emails they may give you an additional 15% off! Target has already reported a 15 BILLION dollar loss this year; sucks bc I love Target!! I never really shopped there anyway; can't afford it, and the homegoods/decor is like crack once you get started lol. Sucks to suckkk Target!! The funniest part is: you can use Elon's PayPal to pay for it 🤣🤣🤣

I love going to both Target & Costco. They're my favorite places to check out hot mom's 🫠

Right now we only have a Sam's Club membership since the Costco ran out but we're thinking about getting Costco back & not renewing Sam's 🤷 that'll probably be the way to go. Do I gotta make one NOW? 👀

I think target has a pretty diverse workforce at almost any store you go to. I probably won't matter if they do not fly a DEI flag they will probably still have a diverse workforce. I think that is true of almost any retail outlet --- the labor economics of retail doesn't afford them the luxury of not hiring old people or minorities regardless of what they say on paper.

the bigger issue with retail overall is wage theft in terms of underpaying staff and lowballing on benefits and paid time off.

I just wanna say HI it's been a while hope you are well.

Also there's no Targets in Canada anymore but there IS a Costco 90 minutes away. Clearly I know what to do.

@foldedunfolding All good we can just bask in the glow of knowing we're at a Point in History. World is gonna be very, very different in five years.

I'm apparently the only person around who never liked Target. Every time I went there, I'd walk out empty-handed because none of their stuff appealed to me. Stopped going there years ago as a result.

@Rutterman Oh no Rutter, a few of us are not into Target. Macy's prices for Walmart quality and it is just boring in there. Like a shop for the Karens who THINK they are high class and rich.

I blame the internet for producing so many people who think like you it's baffling how little world experience people have all they know is what they read online and that's their world view.

@Toofargone Oh honey, at least I can read.

$15 billion to a large corporation matter about as much as $15 does to any of us.

Target changes their political stance on things constantly

So they fired people who are not white

@Toofargone Enjoy the results
