from what I've been lead to believe/understand, it can be great as a fabric, but it's environmentally terrible.

@dirge really? how so?
@AllelujahHaptism to be able to break the fibers down to something useful for clothing, there's a mechanical component which is pretty intense, but then the fibers have to be run through several strong acid baths which create some pretty awful things to output/release.

@AllelujahHaptism think it's where you want to take the hit. cotton is a resource hungry crop, fertilizer, water, even the sorts of ground it can use. it's not free as far as processing, but it's not as much as bamboo. but bamboo is a grass, so it's easier on the growing, but it's a bigger hit on processing the fibers.
