I ordered a drip coffee maker on Amazon and it's supposed to come this Thursday.

It's a tiny little 5 cup coffee machine, Amazon Basics brand. Costed like $20. I wonder how long it'll last. Conventional wisdom is that a simpler device will last longer, and this is about as simple as it gets. No settings, no screens, just an 'on' switch. But on the other hand... it costed $20. I'm very curious. I was kinda just sick of using Keurigs and wasting all this money on machines that don't last and using shitty reusable K-cups.

I’ve had my Hamilton beach drip brewer for 2 or 3 years now and it’s still doing fine. It’s a 12 cup one from Target and was about $25

I use those whenever I have Alternating Current, until I break the pot.
There's a hand pour over cone filter, & it fits right over your mug. Mine is plastic, and it was $3.99. they're still $3.99. I use a paper filter too, because I think it's better for me to filter away most of the heartburn stuff.
If you already have a tea kettle and a stove of some kind, I think that's about the cheapest coffee maker.

I use the 5 cup coffee maker, mine usually last about 2yrs. to 3 yrs. I'm the only 1 that drinks coffee, wife drinks tea. I did by a reuable filter so I'm not spending money on throw away filters

one of the best drip coffee makes i ever owned was a glass carafe that had a top that you fit a filter into then poured hot water over coffee grinds in it. No bells and whistles at all.
