Average cost of a gravestone is $2,000. I think I'll just take a chisel, get a big rock and work on my gravestone now.

May I borrow your chisel? We have one large stone for my mom and dad, but I've been trying for four years to have her date of death added to the stone.

@exexec Would be cheaper if you could just DIY. Even if it takes some time to get it looking smooth and professional.

Sounds like a lot of work when no one comes to visit after a couple of decades at most. I don't even want an urn for my ashes
