Is Black Friday still a big thing?

Seems like it's not the crazy thing it used to be. Is it because the sales are starting even earlier now?

Black Friday used to be about clearing autumn stock so business could re stock with new winter items ready for sale in the days after Christmas.

But these days we live in a time of seemingly permanent sales.

They’ve started making it into sales all week. Plus people can just shop online and get sales.

I think many shoppers are making their purchases online. So the crazy, uncivilized crowds have diminished.
Rent, gas car insurance utilities and medicine, maybe food. And then nothing. The American norm.
They voted only for that. No non two parties candidates elected.
@specman try to connect the dots - expenses are getting bigger but wages ain't, year after year until your Christmas budget is really small and sales tank. Do murkans prefer to unknow and be clueless,? Because pointing out that you voted for that might anger and enrage the CIA - no politics for the population! And the dutiful doggies hate politics because they good doggies, them Murkan people.

@Roundandroundwego we get it you don’t like Americans
@specman no, I don't like your being shafted and taken advantage of because you were tricked. I get it. You swallow the CIA stuff and internalized the cluelessness as your identity. Good for you!

With violence and mass shootings rampant people dont want to die over a tv on sale. So they shop online from the safety and comfort of their own home.
