Anyone here have prescription sunglasses?

I stopped wearing /buying contacts a few years ago. Now I can never wear my sunglasses in the summer b/c I have my glasses on. Then it dawned on me; they make prescription sunglasses!! I would be willing to buy some b/c I do want and need them. Anyone have any here? Do they have certain styles only or a varied selection? Are they the same price as regular Rx glasses?

For the past few decades, I have always gotten my glasses in pairs: one normal, the other tinted. They are always the same prescription, same price.

The first time, there was a buy-one-get-one-free deal, so that is why I did it. Recently, I got new glasses from Visionworks. Paying for it was complex: if I used insurance, some of the first one was covered, but zero of the second one, yet I got 50% off. If I did not use insurance, it was buy-one-get-one free. I told them to give me whatever was cheaper (duh). The first option was cheaper. It still cost about $600. My eye exam was covered, though, with just a standard copay.

I like my new prescription: things are so sharp now. Yet the lenses are smaller making sunglass coverage less, which is annoying. Also, I had to increase my screen fonts on my computers to 125%. Everything was out of focus.

Me yesterday:

Or, you could get non-prescription clip-ons.
