Nothing wrong with that at all. You did the right thing getting rid of that one. Im betting he didn't do much but disrupt your peace anyway. Throw him in your brain garbage. Good on you girl 🖤

I respect you for asking the question. This is my answer to you. Why do you get to have the last word? Why can you not accept that it is over? What do you gain by "talking like adults?" The most important question that you should be asking is why do you desire anything from a person who will curse you out? What is right with any human being accepting that? You know the person is going to be negative and hurtful but you seek and desire something from that person. That is what is wrong with it. I hope I answered your question, have a great day.

@Capt11 yes. I won't go to war for the last word. I'll be the mature one and walk away. It seemed like wanting my peace before leaving was not okay with him.

@UglyTrait91 your actions alone don't make you mature. I hope you find your happiness.

You don't get to dictate how the other person responds to your attempt at closure.
Perhaps you should reflect on why you broke up with this person in the first place and focus on yourself, not the other party.

@SumKindaMunster was I wrong in some sort of way? To just be heard out as my final words?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@UglyTrait91 No, not wrong. But you can only control yourself, not the other person. Think of your perspective as a gift you offer to the other person. You mean well, and you want the person to open the gift because you put all this time and effort into it, but ultimately you can't make the other person open the gift, or listen to your perspective.
That's on them, not you. It would seem you've learned a bit from this experience. Take that knowledge as solace and try to apply it to future relationships.
Good luck.

@UglyTrait91 in a lot of cases knowing the truth of things just causes more pain. At least if you bought his act you would feel the closure that you seek. This lack of resolution is a result of you being able to sense the vibe.

I think sometimes you just have to walk away and know for yourself why you did it even if the other person doesn't know. 🤷♀️ *hug*

That’s when you know you made a huge mistake in judgement about his character and intelligence . Next up , he’s going to become violent .

No all I wanted was a reason why but he wanted to play the douche bag and just stop talking to me and disappeared.
