Do you also feel that living alone is not difficult?

Today I learnt to live alone. I realised that we alone can also enjoy our moments of life .

Not a bit difficult, until you injure yourself. THEN you definitely need someone to help you.

I love my life alone other than the above. I love not having to listen to bullies shout at me, and I love being able to make all my own decisions.

Do any of you not find the stresses of living alone can get to you at times n you think how nice It would be nice to have some one to talk to?
Palvinderkaur · 46-50, F
@Senecaa sometimes I also want someone who can talk to me continuously for hours . But unfortunately I am not so lucky. Nobody has time for me . I learnt to live alone.
Senecaa · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou it's nice to have someone to call😁
4meAndyou · F
@Senecaa Yes, it is...even though we drive each other crazy. We just cut it short when one or the other of us gets crabby...🤣

I have always enjoyed living alone and having all my space and peace of mind, however I've been feeling lonely and depressed and need to have someone to live with annd talk to.
comfi1 · 61-69, M
I have been living alone for several years so I live my life as I want to. I can go out so I never feel lonely.
Palvinderkaur · 46-50, F
@comfi1 means we feel good even if we are alone.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Happiness is not real unless it’s shared .
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@AthrillatheHunt I agree fully.
For me: Best comment! 🥇

Guess it can make a difference to your life when first you live alone after living with parents n then you get married n stay together for years then when that ends cause of either splitting up or breaking up or cause of the other person dying leaving you sadly alone then loneliness once again becomes something you go through n have to learn to live with.

This question is a double-edged sword. It really depends on how alone, if one has no friends, or family nearby, alone can be...lonely. If friends and family are in the picture, are you ever really alone? Probably not. I don't mind being alone, but being lonely, I can imagine that I wouldn't do well in that case.

It makes me wonder if people that though they have friends realise that for those that are alone with no friends how it can be or it can get especially around celebration time xmas, Easter Bank Holidays etc that's when the feeling of being alone really hits. You
Senecaa · 70-79, M
Unless you have a life or some friends living alone can be quite lonely n these days it's not necessarily difficult but with the pandemic it can be lonely, more so at times for people living alone.
Armaan · 36-40, M
I wish, sometime i could get some moment to be alone....or better be just what I am...
Its better to be alone than to impress the whole world
Senecaa · 70-79, M
@Armaan might look nice to be alone from the outside but it not unless you're happy being alone.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
I mean I do enjoy it but I would love to spend my life with someone I can fight and love too.

Sadly that's too much to ask for lol.

I've never lived alone.

The pandemic forced me to work from home.

I am so sick of having to make my own coffee, and waiting, and carrying all the stuff over and back, and then cleaning up after.
conscienceforsale · 46-50, M
@JoyfulSilence I feel you brother. But look at it as an opportunity to know yourself. To self-reflect. Like you're making coffee with a new colleague. You're getting to know yourself. Which means you now have to opportunity to be someone you always wanted to be around. Be nice to yourself. Its a chore only if you don't like doing it.

@conscienceforsale

I am getting know how much I hate dealing with coffee grounds, LOL!

Right now I am at Chipotle. It is good to have somebody else make my lunch for a change!
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
I live alone my whole LIFE. I've never had any partner or just a friend.

And although there are really moments to enjoy so most of time my loneliness only sucks. 😐
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
I've lived alone all my adult life. It's not difficult...until you hit old age; now it's hard for me.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
I have lived alone since 1997.
Palvinderkaur · 46-50, F
How you feel ?@JoyfulSilence
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@Palvinderkaur

Very lonely.

But I like that if I put something in one place, it stays there, for years if need be.
Kumar007 · 36-40, M
