I be practicing how to talk to people in my room.

Cause hearing myself talk this much feels unnatural. My lil nervous stutter has improved.

This is why I talk to myself so much
@SwampFlower I recently started doing it a lot.

At work I have issues advertising our daily specials so I do a whole spiel out loud.

Upselling is hard when you don’t want to make conversation in the first place.

I talk to myself a lot. It's about the only intelligent conversation I'll have all day.
That actually helps train your brain a lot.
@HijabaDabbaDoo that’s encouraging is there any tips you have for me ? I’d like to speed up the process 🥴
@Pressure Incorporate positive self talk in there too. Say you get a negative thought, say that thought out loud too but respond to it with a truth you actually want to believe. When you speak a new intentional thought out loud and answer back to it you're forcing your brain to move from passive rumination to active problem solving. It activates the part of your brain that makes conscious decisions. It's a healthy way to pave way for a new mental script which always helps to boost confidence. Also look up the memory palace, I still struggle with retaining information like names and places or placing the right word in sentences even when I'm familiar with them, exercises like the memory palace help in relaying information and being more articulate.
@HijabaDabbaDoo I’ll add that to my daily homework, thanks love you’re a doll 💙

When I spend a day surrounded by dumbarses, I talk to myself as I yearn for semi-intelligent company.
@basilfawlty89 at least you have yourself
