Do you think being a gamer at 43 is too old

I love playing video games, most of my life, spent thousands on them , but do you know when person would say it to you , you'd question yourself .
Also before a person said to me I'm a bit old for track pants but I wear them cause I'm comfortable in them .
I wear jeans sometimes as well but when I'm going around the house or walks I wear track pants .
Do U know you'd have doubts when people say things too you

Look, I am older than you and so is my husband, and we still play video games. Why? Because we like it.
My husband is more of a gamer than me. But after a loooooooooong day, if I have some time with myself, i just read or play. It is just one of our hobbies.
About clothing, dont be concerned about other people’s opinions of you. maybe try wearing semi casual styles and avoid wearing tracksuits daily. People’s first impressions always come from what they see upfront so 🤷🏻‍♀️.
It might help with your confidence too i think (wearing other clothes than tracksuits).

@BloviatingBuffoon Can I tell you about gaming when there's couples involved like yourself .
It's a great for the relationship cause it's something new .
The normal life usually consists of drinking , going out , and do U know all of that stuff .
The majority of the relationships ends up unhappy in a drinking environment . You'd actually be bored out of your head going out to pubs and clubs . That's my view .
Also it's not productive .
Advertisements say go out drinking and have a great time .
The majority of them don't have a great time it ends up in arguments.
That's why I like gaming .
I'm done with the drink environment a long time and it was the best decision I ever made in my life .
I think it's the 1st best decision I ever made in my life 😆😆😆

My dad plays video games at 91, as do I at age 63, so…
I don’t let anyone try to restrict the things I enjoy based upon their perceptions—learned that from Pop.
Do what gives you joy. 🕹️

@bijouxbroussard i play too.
@Fungirlmmm Very cool. 👍🏽
My dad games and he's in his sixties. You are never too old!

Bignakedguy · 31-35, M
Nope, absolutely not. You keep playing buddy 🎮
i dont think i will ever stop playing video games, i wish my parents would play games too, we could have such great lan parties but sometimes i think my parents are stuck in the 20th century
Fluffybull · F
@BunnyWarrior It's probably also good exercise for the brain - sharpens thinking/reaction times etc 👍.
They want to crush your hopes
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@Kitsunex That's the truest comment I ever heard of . And by God your hopes be nearly crushed . You' d end up picking on yourself and finding faults with yourself
@Kitsunex this ✨✨
@riseofthemachine @metaldog your comments are really helpful and mean a lot thx

short answer no. I don't see the point of age banding video games but I got follow up questions if you can entertain me:

what type of games/

which games and if RPG what do you like to play?

xbox playstation or other?

If you play in groups do you have a posse you play with or is it more like a pick up
game?

Lastly have you ever seen the youtube of Leroy Jenkins playing WoW? if not you should.
chubbysteve99 · 51-55, MVIP
no not at all, there are probably more older gamers than younger ones
why should there be an age limit to anything you enjoy...gaming is actually great for your brain and reflexes as you get older

are you really going to stop doing something you love because of what some dope says???
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@metaldog Thank you . I just needs reassurance now and then
@riseofthemachine people will criticise for all sorts of reasons most of which have nothing to do with the person they're criticising but with themselves...ignore it all and do what makes you happy 🌞
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@metaldog I swear you wouldn't believe how much I spent on video games for the past 3 years. Its frightening
Not if you enjoy it and it doesn’t interfere with adult responsibilities.
@riseofthemachine Hey, if you’re happy and self supporting, not a burden on anyone, more power to you.
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@OlderSometimesWiser I'm not a burden to no one . I thought in my 20's and 30's I had life made . God had other plans 🙂
@riseofthemachine I hear ya for sure. 🙂

Once a gamer always a gamer. Yo7 can’t escape. :)

I've never play a video game but I'd say there's no age limit. BUT if they get in the way of real life, and you're choosing to do that instead of something a little more valuable, then it might be something to think about. As far as track pants just take a look at old men from Eastern European countries. No worries there.
Benjago · 41-45, M
Not at all. Hope I’ll be doing it forever.
ErecSchunn · 46-50, M
I don’t question anything that I enjoy. I surround myself with people that understand I like to play video games. And that understand I wear basketball shorts and a tee shirt year round, even when it’s snowing. I don’t need negativity so I stay away from those people.
in10RjFox · M
Playing video games is as good as watching a match or television. So it's got nothing to do with your age. But the important factor is whether you're acting responsibly at your age or whether you are a burden to others around you.
Fluffybull · F
If you enjoy them, why not? Also what you wear is your business. If you choose to spend a lot of money on games it's only a problem if it affects our ability to pay household expenses/support kids etc.
DS1980 · 41-45, M
A game is a game. Be it scrabble, poker, or video games. They are there for anyone who wants to enjoy them. Look at the support you have received in this thread and keep on gaming pal.
Mudkip · 31-35, M
Not even man. I'm 31 and still a big gamer. Always have since I was a kid, and still will be until physically able lol.
smiler2012 · 56-60

MrsMONAKanful · 36-40, F
No you’re not too old to be whatever you want to be just don’t let it get in the way of your life
LilPrincess · 41-45, F

bella12344321 · 13-15, F

MarIion · 31-35, F
You're never to old for video games
SW-User
No, do what you want.
lumberjackslam · 41-45, M
no. however at 400 pounds in your mom's basement, then yes.
I never went past the Atari2600 and stopped going to arcades in the late 80's.
