I know it's late but I have one more thing to do tonight.

I've realised today, whilst I was remembering and writing again yesterday regarding a promise, a contract I've done with myself after I graduated from the fine arts.
So I've made myself a promise that for the next decade I'll be applying for something every year. Be it a scholarship, a seminar, an art award, contest, project sponsorship, funding, exhibition, participation in festival, whatever would help me to grow. I had just to participate in one thing every year and nothing more. This was mg bare minimum.

I've succeeded in doing that.

I've realised today, just after sending my last application yesterday, how now is 2025. I've graduated in the end of 2014.
A full decade has passed. I've fulfilled my contract.

I'm now freeing myself from it. It's been done.

No matter my success, financial situation, wealth, fame, career, art creation, art production, name it, I've accomplished what I set to accomplish, in the midst of loss, illness, difficulty, depression, love, sun, vacation, in the midst of it all.

And so I will remain free for a while and simply enjoy being;)

ps - I too have another large cycle I'm commited to, regarding art. I'm not going to reveal it in detail, but this commitment isn't bound to time but to numbered repetitions. I cannot fully disentangle myself from it.
I've given myself plenty short term promises I haven't kept, but, there are certain, larger scale plans, that exactly because they're spacious and abundant in time, I can more easily follow up..

That is. I'm sharing this as to make it official.
It's official, I don't need to do that any longer.
I can still continue, if I want to, but I'm not bound to it anymore.

Somewhere I've read,
Even if you do it or not, Time will pass anyway

Yes, time stands still for no one. What we do with that time is what is important.
