@Beachlover Thank you so much. I truly appreciate your kind words. They mean a lot to me.

This is a great post dear.
I am so happy for you!🌈🥂

I am not quite there with a few as they are still too raw, the pain and the destruction was totally a shock.

It will take time for me.

Hugs, L.🤗🌺🦋

Thank you so much, L.

I do understand why it can take so much time. The pain and destruction causing shock embeds within you.

Best wishes.

Hugs, HW. 🤗💫

I'm sorry, sometimes staying away from such people can help with healing.⭐[/quote]

[c=#7700B2]This is so true. I did just this for quite a while. I needed to, for me. 💫[/c]

It is almost an impossibility to forgive those who have repeatedly harmed you physically and mentally. The illness of people who spread hate and is so very hard to forgive. I work daily with felons, who struggle mightily to forgive not only others, but themselves.
So kudos to you for winning your struggle. Yes forgiveness is freeing, and it does not mean forgetting.
Be Blessed,
Mike

@Mktonght This is so true, forgiveness IS freeing❣🤗🍀

@Mktonght It is very hard to forgive for certain acts. Not just the person who committed them, but yourself, as you said. I know that I was harder on myself than anyone else could be. You put a lot of the blame on yourself. Even when you know it isn't you.
Thank you for understanding.

Hugs, HW.

For me it's easy to forgive... I get that we aren't perfect and that at times people hurt others. I know I have, so I always keep that in mind. My problem, as I suspect is the case with many, is in forgetting, as well as forgiving. When I can't forget a wrong/hurt, it means I'm unlikely to trust that person again. In the end, its for me about trust.

@frequentlyme Over time, I've learned how to forgive. Unfortunately, there are some acts that just cannot be forgotten. In my case, I will never trust a few people again, for it wasn't just hurt. My heart can take hurt to a point. But some acts are unforgettable. They serve as a reminder for a purpose.

@JerseyGal Yes, 😔we can forgive but it doesn't mean we have to hang out with them.

I can sooooo relate!😔The hardest for me is forgiving members of my own family that were suppose to care about me.🥀
JerseyGal · 51-55, F
@Peaches This is so true. Or those who are as much like family to you as your own family, or even more so. 😔
You're a cheerful, lively person, Wingzy! I'm glad you don't let any setback bring you down....no matter how major it was!
Adore you, my beautiful friend!! 😍 😘 🤗

@Vivaci Awww thank you my dear, sweet friend. I decided I can't allow setbacks to keep me down. It's not good for me to be that way.
