I've been overkill today I know it.

I think the nightmare meds are improving things a lot. I read how they turn off your fight or flight response in your sleep, which scared me (of course lol), but I'm realizing how exhausting it's been to live this stressful second life when I should be resting my spirit and restoring my body.

I am actually sleeping.

I wake up to my real life.

I was thinking about you and wondered if the Prazosin took effect yet. Real life is a bit easier to deal with if I’m well rested. Sleep and rest are not signs of being lazy; it’s necessary for healing.

@SageWanderer I did have a big nightmare last night, but she told me it can take time and Im on the lowest dose, so I might need an increase. I definitely feel a difference when I don't have nightmares, like I actually had restorative sleep.

I'm so happy for you. I can't even imagine having constant nightmares. I'm making some progress myself so I know it feels good to get control of your life. Hugs!

@ScreamingFox I still have nightmares but very infrequently and not as disturbing once I wake. Give it time as it may need some adjusting to dosage.
