I could tell you, but it would probably just make you sleep worse. Try to fill your world with happy things, and stop watching/reading the news. Get a pillow you can hug, or a dog, or just mb like the world is about to end.

I did not realize so many people have the same problem like i do before reading the post and comments here.
I'd be the same way after work; but bright eyed come bedtime.
This was also the period when the stress of the coming workday began and you're awake till 1 AM.

@SethGreene531 yea, I'm starting to combat this by taking a bath vs a shower at night. I always knew that they are supposed to be soothing but I just learned that when you take a bath and sit in the hot/warm water, it raises your body temp, then as you lay in bed, it comes down to a more optimal temp for sleep, so you fall asleep faster.
Had to Google how to fall asleep faster 🥴
@iamnikki Interesting, that explains why a shower never seemed to work for me. It energized, rather than soothed.
You'd think one was effective as the other.
Yea, the ways the body gets into a rhythm for sleep are surprising; and go far beyond a glass of warm milk and soft lighting.
According to google, everything I've been doing is wrong 🤦‍♂️ 🛏️

@SethGreene531 yea showers are soothing to me too but are refreshing as well.
The human body is amazing though. Amazingly complicated

I used to sleep fine when I worked a mkre physically exhausting job, now I work a job where I dont sweat at all and I also cant sleep well at night.

Its like you say I fall asleep easier sometimes after getting home from work than at night.

@eurobroski yea I sleep better when I do some type of exercise routine, but of course I don't like to exercise. I like to do dance routines from time to time. Makes working out more fun.
