People are incredibly kind...

I just had the most amazing and touching experience!

I was so happy when I sat down at the restaurant, because I have waited a whole YEAR for my birthday, to treat myself to this fancy burger!

I was telling the servers it was my birthday, and I couldn't wait and I had been really looking forward to this burger all year!!! AND it was delicious! I had my finances fine tuned so that I could buy myself this lunch, AND buy myself a little birthday dessert...maybe not a whole cake...

Anyway, I had my bank card out and asked for a box for my leftover onion rings, and it seemed like it was taking a long time...and then ALL the servers started singing happy birthday, and walked to my table, and one of them was carrying a little birthday ice cream sandwich with strawberries on it and whipped cream, and a candle in it!!!!

And THEN one of the servers told me that a lady who had been sitting at the bar, and who had already left, wishing me a happy birthday as she went out...had paid for my WHOLE lunch, and that I didn't owe anything.

And I started crying. I am still tearing up.

I can't believe that God is SO good...and that people are SO kind!!!!

what a touching story.

I've seen it done at a supermarket once. A gentleman checked out and left a $50 bill to pay for the next person in line, an elderly lady lady with mobility issues. And told the cashier to give her whatever the change was and abruptly took his purchases and left, leaving no room for discussion. The lady had no idea what had happened until she took out her wallet and was then informed by the cashier that the gentleman and already paid and presented her with $30+ change.

There are good people who do good things. It's always so uplifting to see when those good things happen.

@Heartlander What a WONDERFUL tale!!! Add that to the kindness that was done for ME, and I am seeing the beginning of a pattern of HUGE hearts, and God's love working through human agency!
