Sorry to hear that. I’m lucky to have a small inner circle of friends because there wasn’t much any moving involved after I met them. But my one true friend is my husband. And relatives. Cause with friends you never know with them. But my husband and relatives are family.

Maybe you should try connecting with social groups that meet up together based on common interests as suggested here. Or try talking to neighbors to find fellowship.

@YoungPoet345 i tried going to several different churches in the past but i dont fit in there either. I did make 2 friends and then they moved out of state too

That’s tough. Can you not reconnect with your old group of friends?

@Ragnarock1276 I’ve also marred and resettled but I still love time with my old mates. Maybe float the idea of a catch up
Ragnarock1276 · 46-50, M
@AdmiralPrune I still chat with them online but they live in different time zones now. Getting together is just not practical. Plus they are married and have kids now and I'm just me now

@Ragnarock1276 Sorry to hear that, maybe something will come up. My wife and I do weekends where one of us stays with the kids so the other can stay with friends, so don’t be put off.

Joining groups that you are interested in , enables you to make friends. Don’t force it.
A walking group or a church maybe. Concerts maybe. It’s just the matter getting out.

A lot of people make friends at work. But that can be very introspective.

I’m learning Spanish to communicate better when I’m living there.

Wait until you get to be my age and all your friends are dead!!!
Ragnarock1276 · 46-50, M
@Rabbit420 yeah. I'm getting there
I’m so sorry. What a hurtful thing he did to you. Think the only things that will help lessen the pain are gonna be healthy distractions and the passage of time. Be nice to think that at some point he’ll apologize and take responsibility for what he did but I don’t know if that’s realistic.

@OlderSometimesWiser this is the 8th time I've caught him stealing money from me. It's never been very much though. And he's always helping me out around the house but before we left that day he unlocked the windows so he can get back in to rob me. He even turned off his life 360 so I could not see that he arrived back at my house. I think part of his disability is that he has no remorse
@Ragnarock1276 You’ve given him far more chances than I would have. Hope you’re able to truly cut the chord this time because it doesn’t seem like he’s going to change and the relationship is certainly not good for your mental health.
