Same here, 3 months ago, it’s hard but you will come along, you need at least 6 months to settle in
Talking to friends and family back home helps, try to be more involved in your community, sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zone
Try joining a gym or a book club or something, it helps, going to sit at a coffee house for a few hours helps too

@SW-User My best bet would be to join something, groups, or volunteer . I arrived winter so it was even more depressing. Now summer is near i need to go outside and do something with interactions.

@TessDun then you must be in Australia or the southern part of the world
For me it was okay because I came in the summer but wintertime now is depressing indeed
Just know that you’re doing great! It’s not easy to move to a different country

@SW-User Yes in Australia. Thank you for well wishes. The adjustment is a bit challenging, from food, to comfort. And then, there’s isolation and feeling of disconnection. In the city people are busy working, and locals, I just seem so disconnected to them, though generally they are nice specially the ones I interact with at work, contrary to what I heard about racism here.

@SW-User I thought the same way with my fellows sometimes. Could be the challenges they encounter while living here that changed their attitudes. But yes, I’ve never met a not nice local so far.

@TessDun well if you ever felt like talking about anything I’d be more than happy to listen
