I have this fear of being alone forever

Honestly, I completely understand you. You're not desperate for a man per se. You're desperate for that one special person who brings life that extra spice and makes all lights shine that little bit brighter. I've felt that way for the last 17 years. I've craved a partner I can adore wholeheartedly that whole time. It sometimes gets too much to bear, particularly with so many stories about abusive partners.
I admire and empathize with your desire to be in a quality relationship though. It takes extraordinary strength for people like us to hold out for someone that not only we can love to the fullest extent of our hearts, but someone who will show us the same in equal measure. I won't be that person who says that that someone is out there for you as I know I hate it when people tell me that. My first response whenever they do is always, "Well they certainly aren't here with me!" Instead, I'll be the person to say, you're not alone in your desire. Just hold on. I know it's hard and I know that fear of being single forever is truly terrifying but I have faith you can make it. Just like I can. ☺️

You need to explore and find out it all the things you want in life, that can be with someone else, but often many find this time easier alone. You'll figure it out.

I have those same feelings.
I'm not willing to just give in, either, just to be with someone. I'd rather be alone than be with the wrong person.

I know that I am going to be alone forever. But that is just life.

Yes, being single is depressing

All can say is that wants and needs are not the same thing.

The depression can be a constant thing. Yet it's survivable.

I won't go into religion. It's not really a need more a want! And many times religion is a want that hinders receiving your needs.

I feel exactly the same.

No said we have to be unhappy while doing it!! Life isn’t like they make it out to be in movies!
