Being lonely and being desperate are two different thing's. I'd rather be lonely instead of being in a relationship that is doomed to fail and feel horrible about it.

If it helps I was in a fifteen year relationship that I knew was doomed to fail because she cheated. I understand because I felt it for that whole time. It could have destroyed me but it didn't. It actually made me stronger over time.
I have two kids with my ex also. I promised them that daddy would be happy again which I am. Oh and I am dating.
It's been two and a half years being away from her for me.
