If it helps I was in a fifteen year relationship that I knew was doomed to fail because she cheated. I understand because I felt it for that whole time. It could have destroyed me but it didn't. It actually made me stronger over time.
I have two kids with my ex also. I promised them that daddy would be happy again which I am. Oh and I am dating.
It's been two and a half years being away from her for me.

@lisette give it some time hun and keep working on yourself. You and you alone at this point in your life are the most important things to concentrate on right know. Believe me and the other's here in this chat that you will come out of this situation a hell of a lot stronger.

I agree with that, I couldn't be in a relationship where I was being cheated on(maybe there is a good reason, if I couldn't manage it anymore) but just because the other person wants somebody else, no way. I'm glad for you that you've moved on.

Disagree. I was in a relationship doomed to fail, I had 3 kids already she had none and wanted at least one. I told her I wasn't having any more she respected it and didn't do anything to trick me (waiting for me to get drunk etc). When we met, her self esteem was very low, when she left me it was at a good level, I knew she was going to leave about a week before she did. We had 2 great years together.
